Passion for movement, mindset, and perseverance is what drives Coach Shelby to continuously cultivate a culture that breeds growth in all aspects of life. She believes that educating her clients while pushing them to the edge of their limits is what sparks overall growth and improved self-confidence. It is because of this multi-faceted approach to her coaching, and a heavy emphasis on deliberate practice, that she’s drawn to Deep Rooted Athletics and stands firmly behind their mission and methodology. “Growth through adversity” is her rallying cry, and it is something she aims to instill in every client she works with: to be fearless in the face of a challenge. As a Tri-City native, she hopes to bring some of the culture of embracing the struggle to the community that raised her.
